SAMURAI: a new way of thinking for controlling your radio

Wireless radio communication is often prone to failure, radios are often time-consuming to include in existing products and the radio behavior often offers very little flexibility in terms of reprogrammability. To cope with these challenges, the SAMURAI project aims to:

  • Create a simplified interface to program low level radio functionality (MAC, indoor localization, spectrum sensing, etc.)
  • Allow reuse of MAC protocols over multiple radio devices and/or technologies
  • Provide self-learning intelligence tools that automatically optimize the radio behavior
